Vocational Healthcare Courses
The GTCE has been offering a range of vocational healthcare courses for over six years.
The GNVQ / AVCE series of qualifications were in September 2006 by the Vocational Certificate of Education ("VCE") examinations. They are more usually referred to as "Vocational A Levels". Our courses follow the AQA syllabus.
In addition, we also offer some specialist degree courses in partnership with the University of Sunderland.
AQA and NEBDN courses:
As well as the Vocational A Level series offered by the AQA, we are now accepting students into our Dental Nursing course, based on the NEBDN course syllabus.
University of Sunderland Courses:
We offer two courses in partnership with the University of Sunderland. These are:
- Joseph Rowntree Certificate in Care
- The Registered Managers Award
Students taking these courses must be enrolled as external students by the supervising University as well as by the GTCE. Students whose mother tongue is not English will require IELTS Academic 5.5 or higher to proceed with their chosen course. GTCE London will provide IELTS tuition prior to the commencement of the degree course if required.
